- A Gluten-Free Bakery with a Difference -
Based in the Scottish Borders The Frangipane Bakery is on a mission to spread joy through baking gluten-free products and to support people facing barriers to employment into meaningful work.
We have two core beliefs here at the bakery.
People who require a gluten-free diet should be able to experience the same joy from food as everyone else.

Everyone deserves the dignity of a meaningful and worthwhile job regardless of their circumstances or background​

As a social enterprise the profits we generate from our baking go back into the business to support our social impact work throughout Berwickshire.
OUR GLUTEN FREE BAKING

We make a variety of delicious artisan baked goods, such as our Raspberry Blondies made with the finest Belgian white chocolate and free range eggs, Sticky Spiced Fig Flapjacks made to a vegan recipe with organic Scottish oats from a family run farm and our specially crafted seasonal bakes such as our Stollen and Lebkuchen.

Our dedicated, purpose built kitchen prevents any cross contamination, giving our customers confidence that all our products are 100% gluten-free.

OUR SOCIAL IMPACT

All the profits generated from the bakery will be used to benefit the wider community.
In appreciation of the social model of disability, which understands individuals are not inherently disabled, but are disabled by their environment and wider society, we take a holistic approach.
​
We believe there are two main ways we can impact and close the disability employment gap.
Working directly with neurodivergent and or disabled people as individuals, and working with wider society, through our community engagement projects.
​
Supporting our work is as simple as ordering some delicious bakes.
